The RoHS regulation of the State of California has been officially effective from Jan 1, 2007. In the near future, other states of the U.S. will also come into the similar legislation. The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) of California has included the following substances under control: lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium (PBBs & PBDEs are exempted for the present), and the products under control are:
1. 4¡± or bigger than 4¡± of CRT product
2. 4¡± or bigger than 4¡± of CRT display
3. 4¡± or bigger than 4¡± of Computer display (CRT)
4. 4¡± or bigger than 4¡± of Notebook PC display (LCD)
5. 4¡± or bigger than 4¡± of Computer display (LCD)
6. 4¡± or bigger than 4¡± of Television (CRT)
7. 4¡± or bigger than 4¡± of Television (LCD)
8. 4¡± or bigger than 4¡±of PDP Television
Devices exempted including£º
1£®Used and not re-produced devices
2£®Auto parts or auto parts used for replacement
3£®Household appliances (washing machine, drying machine, refrigerator, ice machine, electronic oven, dishwasher, air conditioner, dehumidifying machine or air cleaner)
